Wo Xu Yao Ni

I apologize for not feeding your brain with literary munchies this time but I need to vent this out...

So I  recently told my partner Cheng that I started this blog to document our early beginnings, good times and misadventures. I expected him to react positively to this but instead he did otherwise. He just did not like the idea of me sharing our stories for people to know. Despite already telling him that I did not specifically indicate anything that could reveal our identities. He still disapproves of this blog but I know through time Cheng would soften up to this. (I hope you do..)

Since we are both still in the closet to our families and to most of our friends. Cheng thinks that this blog could potentially force us out of the closet because of how people could arrange the puzzle and derive our identities from it. I find it so stupid!! Out of the millions of people in Philippines or even in our region, how could they possibly associate these stories with us?  Could it not be all just a coincidence? Could it be because of how our community is so small that news travels fast for you to think of this blog this way? Please Cheng.. Please just open your mind to this.. How could they possibly even find out about this.

Cheng, you know that I need you and I would never do anything to cause harm to you. I know of the possible consequences we might have to face if ever we get caught. But what are the odds of us getting caught? Please give this a chance to make it work out for the both of us.

Wo ai ni Cheng...

  2. In blog-o-sphere, I think there are niches. Kung pang-gay ang blog mo, most likely gays din readers mo at maliit na porsyento ang readers na straight. Ewan. Pansin ko lang. So,most likely kung may kakilala kayo na naging reader mo baka gay rin sya. baka maging friends heheh.

Anyway, anlayo nga na makilala kayo sa blog kung itatago ang identity. Maliit ang chance.

    1. I agree! What are the chances of them identifying us. But there are still bad people in this world that might betray us and make us face the consequences we wish we didnt have to face.

  3. Ang hirap talaga ng nasa isang gay relationship. Pati ba naman sa isang anonymous blog kailangan itago ang relasyon?

    1. True being in this kind of relationship is hard enough but hiding to the extent of not blogging anymore is just crazy.. There is no way talaga that we could get caught due to this

  4. I don't want you to stop blogging so prematurely, but you have to consider Cheng's feelings. If he's not comfortable, then you shouldn't take it for granted. Ganyan talaga sa isang relationship. What would you feel if Cheng is doing something that you find disturbing?

Anyway, I hope Cheng'll come through sooner or later. Try to talk to him about this again when he's in a better mood. Good luck Simon! :)

  6. 我需要你... beautiful...

I am a chinese gay guy myself and also in the closet... I understand the worries he Cheng has... but he has to be open that this is a very good outlet and this is what the world needs... I hope he understands and trusts you on this... Just maybe be careful so that he still gets the privacy he wants... Kudos to you Simon! Be an inspiration to us all!

    1. Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope to see you here more often :)
I am still hoping until now that Cheng softens up to the idea of sharing our life stories but like what @kalansaycollector said I can still blog about many other topics ;)

  7. I believe people are not happy because they live a life they are hiding from others. However a literary exercise such as this, narrating a love story or simply your lives in a blog does not mean you wanted to come out. This is another way of letting out something you both had been keeping to yourself. It is a form of expression. It is a summary of your beautiful lives. It is a testament to your friendship and love.

Just remain vigilant as to what you write, mentioning not of places and names but giving them an identity that will trigger memories to you once you come back to read these postings in the years to come.
